Following our election in July 2026, the new NMBCPF District Board is excited to launch this community blog as a direct line between residents and the Board. Over the coming months we'll be visiting all 18 station CPFs, and we want to hear from you along the way — what's working in your neighbourhood, what isn't, and what you'd like the Board to prioritise.
A common question from residents is when to contact SAPS directly versus the local CPF. In short: for any crime in progress or emergency, always call 10111 or 112 first. The CPF exists for community-level engagement, awareness and longer-term problem-solving alongside SAPS — not as a replacement for emergency reporting.
